1-5-00 -- By the way...Australian Outback (see below) is being developed a company in Australia called Down Under Interactive.
1-3-00 -- Finally, some new info! And this is good stuff! It seems that WizardWorks has teamed up with a company down-under to produce Australian Outback. This title is currently still pre-beta, so we're still a little ways away from seeing it in our favorite software store, but it is coming soon. The game features the BHUE and RMTH2 graphics engine (STE v2.0), and allows you to hunt Kangaroos (several different types), boars, dingos, and magpies. And you're not alone on this hunt, as you you'll have hunting dogs around to help you!
This title sounds promising, keep an eye out for it! The game will be released in both the USA and Australia, with Europe a possibility.
12-06-99 -- Information has been a little thin lately, but as it seems to always be, WizardWorks is hard at work and rumors are flying...
While I haven't been able to get a hold of any release dates, I have heard rumors that WizardWorks is producing an add on to Deer Hunter 3 that will include a map editor. Great news for all of us who love to hunt on our own maps!
I've also heard some rumors of a new bird hunting game (waterfowl, possibly?) that is in the works.
As always, these are just rumors, but I do try to get information from believable sources.
10-26-99 -- I finally managed to nail down the "cow tipping" rumor mentioned below. It has to do with the target range on Sportsman's Paradise 2. There is also a "Bull Dance" available at the same location.
In other news from WizardWorks, another deer hunting sim will be coming sometime early 2000. Buck Master's Deer Hunting is currently in development. Wizworks sources assure us that BMDH and DH3 will be unique enough and offer enough to the player that it will be worth the money and hard drive space to have both games. Is WizardWorks so far ahead of the competition that they have to compete with themselves?! Maybe so.
10-14-99 -- More info from WizardWorks: The latest on Sportsman's Paradise 2 is that the game is in production (CD-ROM's being manufactured). This usually means that the game should be in stores in 2-3 weeks (there are always exceptions!).
Another rumor from WizardWorks include something about "cow tipping". Usually, I try to make sure of my info before posting, but I'm honestly not sure about this one, but it does sound interesting if its true! Keep an eye out for more info.
9-30-99 -- I managed to wrangle one more detail about Sportsman's Paradise 2...Word is that you will be able to take a BB gun or pellet gun out, and (quote from WizWorks source) "the range is really cool, the way we all 'really' learned to hunt." Looks like we've got another great title coming from Sunstorm and WizardWorks. Screenshots should be available sometime soon.
9-28-99 -- With Deer Hunter 3 packaged and ready to ship, rumors are swirling about the next Sunstorm / WizardWorks project. The latest that I've been able to pick up is that all the small game hunters out there will be very happy with this next release! The rumors are that the game will feature the RMTH2 engine (STE v2.0), and be basically geared toward small game and varmint hunting, though there may be a few larger animals (predators?) to hunt also. Rumored title: Sportsman's Paradise II. Release date: Unknown
I'll keep my ear to the ground for any additional info on this title.
